SIBF has finally come to an end, the week's definitely been hectic but very fulfilling - from rehearsals to competition to masterclasses to music exchange and performance but amidst the very busy schedule we still managed to find time for fun laughter and joy
well anyway kcb's post-pop was so messy and dirty and noisy, the band had so much fun turning the canteen into a battlefield and having cake wars! yeah with the cakes that were meant for brent and pq. masterclass with douglas bostock on saturday was great, i've learnt a lot even though the session wasn't very long
now for beautiful sunday, we had an exchange with the hong kong youth neowinds orchestra in the morning, they were rather restless and inactive initially because they were partying the previous night away and they didn't sleep a wink at all. they started to open up after some time, we played gloriosa and symphonic overture together, there were a couple of things we could improve on as a whole but considering the fact that it was our virgin attempt playing those two pieces together, it sounded great, well i was thrilled! VERY SHIOK
they had a masterclass after the exchange while it was free and easy for us because we had quite some time to spare, we hung around the lounge and heard the youth neowinds play gloriosa for a little while before heading to eugene's hostel to chillax talk cock play game sing song eat ice cream, after that was back to the lounge for lunch and then singing and 'harmony' session and then sentosa, finally
i shall skip the sentosa part because i am dead beat, been deprived from sleep ever since the start of SIBF but it was fun and high because the girls could go gaga over the thai band once again after seeing them at the stage for the first time at the first division competition on thursday. the capoeira boys dropped by a little - ronny lester xavier francis and co. yay!
